Religious Organizations as Targets of Ideological Violence in the United States: A Political Perspective
Abstract
This paper discusses the threats and violence against certain ethnic groups in terms of their faiths, doctrines of religion, or belief systems. Unfortunately, people or worshipers are dead because some crazed individuals believe that religious differences justify violence.
But such sentiments are so much nonsense. Also, in this regard, we should always be aware of the potential threats of violence on places of worship almost everywhere in the United States. Or do we have instincts for religious violence that is inviolable or intractable?
To be certain, in recent years, religious violence across the nation has surged when it comes to killing people of different faiths. Therefore, we must try to help crazy zealots and hateful people move beyond what they think is true about different religions.
This is all to say that violence should never be tolerated when it comes to attacking and destroying places of (religious) worship, or where believers congregate, no matter a person’s beliefs or the circumstances.
