Mine Geological Environment Problems and Ecological Restoration Measures of Longlei Lead-Zinc Deposit in Gongcheng, Guangxi

Abstract


The exploitation of mineral resources provides crucial material support for regional economic development, yet the concomitant mine geological environmental issues have become core constraints restricting the sustainable development of the mining industry. The Longlei Lead-Zinc Deposit is situated in the Laochang lead-zinc ore field in the western segment of the Nanling Metallogenic Belt, representing a typical small-to-medium-sized lead-zinc deposit in this region. Taking this deposit as a research case, this paper systematically elaborates the geological environmental background of the mining area through field geological surveys and comprehensive indoor data analysis. It accurately identifies dominant geological environmental hazards induced by mining activities, including geological disasters, topographic and geomorphic landscape destruction, water-soil environmental pollution, and land resource degradation. A targeted classified technical system for ecological restoration is accordingly established. The research outcomes can effectively restore the ecological structure and functions of the mining area, rebuild ecological balance, facilitate sound, coordinated and sustainable evolution of the mine geological environment, and offer a replicable and scalable practical paradigm for geological environmental protection and ecological restoration of analogous lead-zinc deposits.
