Problems of Value Orientation of Contemporary College Students and Countermeasures

Abstract

Values, in fact, is the process of cultivating one’s own mind to correctly view money, fame, gain and loss. It serves as the core of human spiritual field and influences human values and behavioural patterns. Contemporary college students are a generation of attention, they have certain knowledge and ability, with the expressive desire of exploration and research. Among the values of college students, values influence all aspects. Therefore, under the condition of socialist market economy constantly tends to improve, the main work of colleges and universities is to deeply understand the current situation of college students’ values, and timely and effectively strengthen the ideological and moral education of college students, in order to cultivate talents and qualified citizens who can be used by the society.
