Research on the Practical Path of Labor Education for College Students Based on Project-Based Learning

Abstract

Labor education is a critical factor for universities in the new era to fulfill the fundamental task of cultivating morality and to build a system of “Integration of the Five Educations.” However, labor education suffers from formalism, fragmentation, and students’ misunderstandings currently. To address these issues, this study introduces the concept of Project-Based Learning (PBL) and builds an integrated labor education curriculum system containing ten practical projects relying on online teaching platforms. It systematically discusses the theoretical basis and practical effects of integrating PBL into labor education. The results show that this model effectively improves students’ recognition of labor’s value and their practical abilities. Finally, this paper proposes a five-part practice model—goal orientation, project design, platform support, process implementation, and multiple evaluations—to provide a reference for the systematic implementation of labor education in colleges.
